What Is Pore Tightening Treatment?

We want our skin to always look smooth and healthy. However, in some areas of our skin, especially more dense around the cheeks and nose, the pores which are seen on the face are very disturbing.

There are many factors that cause large pores, but three main reasons are; age, genetic factors and excessively secreted sweat and fat residue because of various reasons such as overweight.

Pores are openings that allow the skin to breathe from the outside and allow the extraction of sweat and fat waste under the skin. These openings can become congested due to excessive secretion of sweat and fat waste and the covering of the skin surface with a large number of dead cells.

However, there are environmental reasons for pore congestion. Pores are exposed to polluted air every day and can be blocked by factors such as dust, hair, and particles.

When the pores are filled, the skin becomes contaminated and spots with large openings appear on the skin. These pores with large openings are filled with sweat, fat and dust, leading to blackhead.

Having blackhead is an unfavorable situation. In addition, large pores cause an unhealthy and uncared skin appearance. Due to the higher rate of sweating in men, the pores have a much larger opening.

Although women have smaller pore openings compared to men, it is very important to have tight pores for a healthy-looking skin in both men and women. It is necessary to pay attention to skin cleaning and skin care in order to prevent this unpleasant situation and tighten these pores.

For this reason, skin scar and skin cleaning should be done carefully before the pores on the skin are enlarged. Skin care techniques and treatment which are regularly applied cleanse the skin from waste cells and dust, quickly affecting the tightening of skin pores.

As a result of the regularly applied pore tightening treatment, tightened pores contribute to breathing of the skin, resulting in a more vivid, healthy and bright appearance.

However, it should not be forgotten that skin cleansing is of great importance here. Skin cleansing prevents the enlargement and filling of the pores, so the skin should be cleaned before and after the pore tightening treatment.

What Are Treatments Used in Pore Tightening?

There are many treatment methods in order to tighten the skin pores, which are caused by the deterioration of skin quality because of aging, genetic factors, sun, air pollution, smoking, alcohol, etc. These methods are as follows:

Chemical Peeling

Chemical peeling is the process of peeling and removing the upper layer of the skin with chemical substances. In the content of chemical peeling; chemical solutions and media acids are present.

Chemical peeling is a skin care method that creates a controlled damage in the skin at various depths in order to separate and peel the superficial layers of the skin, so that a healthy skin appearance will be provided, the skin will be renewed and regenerated, acne, scars and all other undesired spots will be removed and person will get a more beautiful appearance in general.

Chemical peeling tightens the pores, regenerates the skin and remove spots and excess fat on the skin.

Specialist physicians decide which substance is appropriate for the skin in chemical peeling procedures. The session number of chemical peeling can vary depending on the situation of skin. Sessions take about 30-60 min according to the size of treatment area.

Which Substances Are Used in Chemical Peeling?

The most common acids used in chemical peeling are glycolic acid, trichocerid acid (TCA) and salicylic acid.

  • Removing fine wrinkles
  • Treatment of acne and scars

How Is Chemical Peeling Applied?

The purpose of chemical peeling process is to peel the damaged surface on upper layer of the skin in a controlled manner. Before the application, the eyes are covered with cotton and the lips are protected by applying Vaseline. In the peeling process applied using a brush, the peeling mask is applied as a mixture or single depending on the size of the treatment.

Warnings Before Chemical Peeling

Hair dye or perm should not be done at least one week before chemical peeling.

Warnings After Chemical Peeling

After the procedure, person should not be directly exposed to the sunlight and should excessively hot environments such as solarium, Turkish bath and sauna. Warm shower should be taken for one week. There is no obstacle for doing makeup 2-3 days after the procedure.

Carbon Peeling

It is very important to protect the skin against the harmful rays of the sun, weather conditions or air pollution. Especially with the advancing age, the skin that loses its elasticity becomes more susceptible to staining and large pores.

When these harmful effects are combined with environmental factors, their efficiency increases rapidly. Carbon peeling is one of the most preferred skin treatment methods among many applications that help reduce skin spots and allow the skin to breathe comfortably.

In fact, the aim of almost all skin scar products is to cleanse the upper layer of the skin and allow it to regenerate.

This process is a safe peeling (dead skin removal) procedure performed by using carbon compounds and laser together. While laser carbon peeling is completely safe, problems such as enlarged pore appearance, aging symptoms, sunspots, blackheads, acne scars, wrinkles and skin sagging are visibly reduced.

How Is Carbon Peeling Applied?

After cleaning the area where the carbon peeling process is performed, a black cream containing carbon particles is applied to the treatment area. Since the cream needs to be absorbed by the skin, it is waited for a period of 15 to 20 minutes.

Then, laser stage is started for the carbon peeling process. In laser carbon peeling, the main purpose of laser beams is to ensure that the skin absorbs carbon particles well and increases the effect.

For a noticeable effect, carbon peeling should be applied regularly. The carbon peeling process should be applied every week and in general, the number of sessions varies between 5 and 8 depending on the skin type and needs.

A very slight burning sensation may occur during the procedure, but this is a normal situation. After a certain period of time, the burning sensation disappears.

What Is The Effect Level of Carbon Peeling?

The black cream used in carbon peeling process corrects the skin structure because it contains carbon particles and provides a healthy, vibrant, bright and tight skin appearance.

Since it is applied with laser, the effect of the process increases greatly and provides the skin with vitality that cannot be achieved by natural ways.

The permanence of the process loses its effect slowly, like other cosmetic procedures. If the skin is well taken care of, the effect duration will also increase.

Carbon peeling process should be repeated every 8-9 months. The process can be applied regardless of summer and winter.

Laser Treatment

Laser treatments give the most effective results in pore tightening. The reason is that lasers can reach the lowest layers of skin.

With laser treatments, skin pores are tightened, wrinkles and spots on the skin are reduced. At the same time, due to the regulation of the oil balance on skin, acne problems decrease, and a more vivid and brighter skin appearance is provided.

It may be sufficient to have at least 5-6 sessions to tighten the pore with laser treatment. The important thing here is the skin type and the skin's needs.

When laser therapy is used with different treatments, it gives much more effective results. After the treatment, you should not expose your skin to the sun directly and avoid extreme hot environments such as solarium, bath, sauna for 1 week.

Fractional Radiofrequency (Golden Needle)

Fractional radiofrequency procedure, one of the easily applicable facial rejuvenation procedures, is applied to the middle layer of the skin with a device having micro needles at the tip.

Fractional radiofrequency process, which warms the middle layer of the skin by generating heat, increases the collagen tissue in the application area and provides tightening of the skin and tightening of the pores.

Treatment area is anesthetized with anesthetic creams, thus preventing the burning and pain that people can feel.

Fractional radiofrequency procedure can be used for the face, neck and décolleté area. The process takes 30 to 40 minutes. The treatment mainly shows its effects after 2 to 3 months.

Fractional radiofrequency method can be applied to individuals between 18 and 65 years old. However, it cannot be applied to people with heart disease. After the procedure, it should be avoided from direct sun exposure and extreme heat such as solarium, bath and sauna.
